Cappuccino Chat - Episode 1

welcome to cappuccino chat where we talk a little Tec over a good cup of coffee this week I'm talking to my six-year-old daughter Audrey about how she uses her technology here at the house and how we've implemented the Disney Circle to help protect her and the rest of our family you today we're talking with my six-year-old daughter Audrey about how she uses her technology and what we do here at the house to monitor our kids and to make sure that they only spend so much time online we don't want our kids online we'd like to spend a little bit of time with them every so often playing games and things like that so we want to make sure that we have that opportunity but we also give our kids an opportunity to explore online so Audrey what kind of things do you do with technology I pin my iPad you plan your iPad what kind of things do you play on your iPad Oh block road blocks okay so pick a game and you play it that makes sense yes it does what other things do you do with it toy Minecraft well the house and there's new updates new updates okay so you play games and then what else do you do with your iPad okay what else do you do do you ever record videos yeah you do what kind of videos do you do Wow okay pictures and do other videos okay and other videos gotcha well you you inspired me to do this this is why we're doing these little chats yeah because I get to see some of your nice videos when you did them on the iPad that's pretty good so now what happens at night after you're on the iPad for so long what happens no does it ever cut off on you and cut you off yeah it doesn't cut you off yeah it doesn't say Audrey you've reached your time and then stops you from being on the Internet sometimes it wrecked me play a lot and lets you play a lot okay sometimes the internet states glitching well that glitching is us cutting you off so what we use here at the house is a device by Disney called the Disney circle so the Disney Circle sits on your home network and allows you to set levels for your kids so that each kid if they're a teenager a little child and it unlocks certain things you can block certain applications you can block websites and more importantly by assigning each kid their devices so if they have iPad and maybe a phone or the computer we can assign it to them and then we can limit the amount of time that they have on the Internet so we may only give our kids one hour on the Internet a night and after it reaches their time it will cut them off on the internet so this works for my son's xbox for my daughter's laptop for the iPads of course that they use all the time yes and it doesn't allow them on anymore now let's say they get their chores done or they do something extra that you could grades in school we can also give them rewards where you can for one day give them extra time on the Internet as a reward and kind of play a game so now this is cappuccino chat after all where we talk about CAF coffee and Technology and stuff like that so now I I like a good cappuccino so when I have my cappuccino we get our beans here from coffee they're a local roaster here in the valley called ko FF I so if you ever get a chance go in and check them out I like everything from them that we've tried so far they've got a good roast for cold brew here in the cold brew and then we use the espresso beans for our espresso maker where we make our cappuccinos so now what kind of coffee do you like coconut milk what's it taste like well it tastes good but do you have to add tuna so it's not that's me and also have water because you might not have that much not might not have that much so you're like a good coconut coffee yeah with ice it's gotta be ice yeah all right well that's it for this first episode of cappuccino chat I hope you liked it again we talked about the Disney Circle and how we can kind of monitor our children at home and make sure that they're have a good experience on the Internet we're not around and limit the amount of time that they're on the internet so until next time I'll see you later Audrey what we'd like to say you
