Dangers of using AI in your Business

welcome back to another episode of cappuccino chat this time we're going to discuss some of the dangers of using AI in your business okay this time we're going over some of the dangers of using AI in your business now this is not to say that AI is not going to be a good thing in your business we just also have to be aware of the dangers in it so again we're not worried about Skynet and Terminators and all that kind of stuff um at least not yet but uh um not all these dangers seem very obvious when using AI so using AI to help you generate some of your marketing or Graphics or help you with your spelling and your Grammar and Writing a good letter or um report of findings a bid those kinds of things can be very helpful it still requires us humans to get involved and proof read some of those things so again we want to go over some of the dangers so number one of less obvious is if AI creates something for you who owns it because as of right now as far as copyright's concerned if AI generates it you can't copyright it it doesn't belong to you because the AI made it not you now yes they made it with your inputs and directions and things of that nature but the AI actually created it for you so be very careful in using it to maybe generate your company logo and things of that nature it's not something that you can copyright and win if there was ever a claim due to the fact that the AI generated so since the AI generated it for you there are the odds that AI would generate something very similar or the exact same thing for someone else so be very careful of using AI in that way also AI only answers based on information it has so um using past answers that you've given it data that you've fed it one of the tips that I heard was to set up different um channels within whatever chat AI platform you're using and be very specific maybe about what you use it for so if you're going to use one for say your marketing materials don't co-mingle it with something maybe from the finance end of things or HR or writing other kinds of things for you or doing other kinds of things for you leave the specific tasks in their own little channel so again it can learn and build but something to uh be aware of which brings us to the next one is um they're possibly going to make stuff up if they can't find something right so it's using the internet so if it's based on what's going on out there a couple things are going to happen one it may guessed Bas based Bas on statistics right so if you ask it um you know what's the weather going to be like tomorrow well it's going to use history to predict what the weather will be tomorrow it of course has no idea what the weather is tomorrow so it may guess based on the data that it has it's also either going to plagiarize somebody else and or just simply make it up so if you ask it for the weather it might reach out to to you know weather.com and see what it's predicting and give you the exact verbiage and everything else you don't want to go using that exact verbage uh with what it necessarily gets back right so because it's only going to um do what it can I remember there being this famous uh case already with AI where a lawyer writed wrote a brief using AI referencing previous cases well those Cas the AI made up the cases those cases didn't exist so the lawyer got caught if you will so right so be very careful that it doesn't write something to fit the narrative that you've given it and that information may be false again it's also going to gather information from the internet which anybody can post anything so if the AI runs across it you want to be aware of the fact that you might get back some false information so anything where it's referencing somebody else's material grabbing something you want to do your due diligence in researching that stuff to make sure it's true it exists and everything's good to go and it's not plagiarizing somebody else's work word for word those kinds of things so again it's going to get you 60% of the way there but you got to be careful you still got to get involved and do your due diligence now another one is um just what what I've kind of heard now lately a security conference I got back to just give you leave you with this is there are um now hackers out there that are basically um muddying the AI Waters if you will so they're feeding AI engines false data data that leaves leads to malicious sites malicious attachments malicious information malicious QR codes those kinds of things so they're kind of poisoning the well if you will so again that is another thing to be aware of and double check and make sure what the AI engine is giving you is true safe so on and so forth so be very careful again AI very benefit am I saying not to use it no I'm not saying not to use it we're all going to be using it in some way shape or form to supplement something that we're going to be doing and that's what I'm kind of talking about is use it to supplement skills that you already have or to level up some skills that you have if you're not very good at writing material but you're great at getting ideas down this can help you fill it out but again double check it it's going to get you 60 to 70% there so that's a huge time saving it's not yet going to replace a human altogether but again that 60 to 70% time save every time you're doing something totally valuable so not saying AI is not good just be careful on how you use it in your business so if you'd like more information about my thoughts on AI or running something by me as far as AI using
