all right welcome back to another episode of cappuccino chat this time i have my very special guest audrey back from the very first episode that started all of this uh this journey of ours down the youtube video world and rabbit hole and i'm bringing her back for a special episode talking about unplugging from technology so the first episode was about the disney circle and us limiting the amount of internet time they had and uh that hasn't since failed so that's failed and it's over three years later it's hard to believe three years has gone by since i first interviewed this young lady and she is back again older and wiser yes are you older and wiser yes yes all right excellent and we're going to talk about unplugging so what are some things that we do when we are not using technology when we unplug what do we like to do uh hike go to my happy place which is joshua tree joshua tree what do we do at joshua tree um do rock climbing okay what else uh they have like little hiking spots okay hiking spots um is there anything else you like to do there i mean it's kind of neat to see the different animals and move around um some of the other activities we like to do to get away as a family is um what is that what's the place you like to go when we go for your birthdays and stuff what do we do a lot of times for your birthdays [Music] we fly i go to i we go to iphone what is ifly for those who don't know what is eye flop so it's basically an indoor skydiving indoor skydiving don't you think that's kind of scary no why not because like there's trainers there's trainers yeah maybe like they do plum though shows they put on the shows so i'm scared of heights so i would never uh jump out of a plane but this is literally in a tube and there's no danger of falling so we've had a lot of fun with that we all kind of like to do those things joshua tree's kind of our main place since it's close to our home she does call it her happy place where we get out and rock climb and explore and see what else is going she likes to hide in little areas when we go to do things um but what's your favorite part about joshua train what are you doing um the rock climbing the rock climbing what about being with your family not having technology one of the great things about being up in joshua tree is cell phones do not work so it is very important to get away with your family we as business owners and business professionals need to remember that we're doing this for our families we're going to work every day we're sacrificing certain things for our families and if we ignore our families when we are home and doing things and not scheduling that time then truly what are we doing it for so i've had to constantly remind myself my wife reminds me my kids remind me so we really need to remember to unplug and spend that quality time with our families because that is after all what we do all this for i hope you've gotten some value out of this and please remember to unplug and have some fun with your family get away if you don't yet have a family make sure you get it get away by your own by yourself and recharge without technology getting the waste don't check your email social media and things of that nature till next time we'll see you then bye you
